It's important not to forget the "investors" part of being socially responsible investors while focusing on principles. As Jerome Dodson, president of Parnassus Investments said to me recently, "We're social investors, but we're also capitalists." With that in mind, I came upon this blog at South Shore Capital Advisors in Hingham, MA. They, in turn, have posted "10 of the most important investment guidelines" identified by an investment strategist at Merrill Lynch who is leaving after 20 years of service.
